Fete de la Bravade
Fete de la Bravade (Saint-Tropez) — the word “Bravade” means “bravery”. This Provençal tradition is celebrated here in mid-May (a tradition going back more than 450 years). It marks the locals’ attachment to the past and their devotion to their Patron Saint. This commemoration has both religious and military origins. As part of these celebrations, parades go around the town, including a lot of music and dancing. Among the festivities, a public ball is held at the Place Carnot.
